Hemodynamic Analysis on the Anastomosis Angle in Arteriovenous Graft Using Multiphase Blood Model

نویسندگان

چکیده

Numerical analysis was performed for the effect of venous anastomosis angle in a forearm arteriovenous graft hemodialysis using multiphase blood model. The geometry vessel generated based on patient-computed tomography data. angles were set at 15°, 30°, and 45°. hematocrit 34%, 45%, 58%. larger angle, high wall shear stress area >11 Pa, increases to side vein away from site. Further, relatively low area, <3 occurs near site angles. Therefore, has advantages vicinity anastomosis, as is larger, but disadvantages distance increases. Moreover, patients with are advantageous WSS area.

Effect of LVAD outlet graft anastomosis angle on the aortic valve, wall, and flow.

Left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), which pump blood from the left ventricle to the aorta are an important therapy option for patients with end-stage cardiovascular diseases. Recent publications show that even with optimized LVADs fatal complications can occur because of the blood deformations around the inflow cannula or through the LVAD outlet graft-aorta anastomosis. This study investig...

Simulation study of Hemodynamic in Bifurcations for Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation using Electrical Analogy

Background and Objective: Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation (CAVM) hemodynamic is disease condition, results changes in the flow and pressure level in cerebral blood vessels. Measuring flow and pressure without catheter intervention along the vessel is big challenge due to vessel bifurcations/complex bifurcations in Arteriovenous Malformation patients. The vessel geometry in CAVM patients are...
